About this website

If you're looking for something more professional and resume-like, check out my LinkedIn profile! I wanted to present a more personal side of me onto this website so you can find all my creative projects on here!

About me

I'm a student at Duke University studying Stats + CS (although I'm kind of changing majors every other month at this point) and I'm hoping to go to law school after college to study biomedical law.

I'm really interested in the intersection between policy intervention and human health, especially when it comes to questioning the ethicality of tools like neural engineering or CRISPR-Cas9.

Right now, I'm looking forwards learning more about the biological basis of health policy so my research / extracurriculars mostly focus on learning more about the anatomical parts of human health.

Feel free to reach out to me at any of the platforms below!

International Comparative Studies on Policy

I've had a strong interest in comparing different national policies and cultural attitudes towards the same disciplines.

In 2020, I took part in the Sejong Korean Scholars Program at Stanford University where I wrote a research paper about the differences between South Korean education policies and that of the United States. I was appalled at how different the two systems were and while both had their advantages and disadvantages, I felt comforted understanding the differences. Being able to compare foreign policies is key in formulating and proposing new policies and from this point on, my IR study continued on. [research on this can be found on the research portfolio page]

Very recently, I researched about nutrition-related policies in Thailand through the Virtual Internship Program at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. I researched specifically on calcium deficiency disease (hypocalcemia) and studied the differences in both policy proposals and applications that Thailand utilized; as one could imagine, they were vastly different policies. [research for this will be uploaded soon!]

Right now, I'm working on conducting an independent study analyzing differences in government policies on plastic surgeries in the United States compared to East Asian nations and seeing if there's correlating data on ensuing cultural attitudes regarding plastic surgery. Hope to talk more about this soon!

Coming soon!
